Hi, I'm Mabel, a first year illustration student at the University for the Creative Arts (UCA). I love to share my illustrations and specialise in printmaking like lino print. I started lino printing in 2022 and have been developing my style ever since then. The designs I make are inspired by British Flora and Fauna which I see on walks in Hampshire (home) and Surrey (uni). My prints are seasonally inspired from the plants I see to the colour pallets I use. I often sell at uni markets which are open to the public, maybe I'll see you there...
These are the lino blocks I carve which I typically work on for 2-3 weeks. I usually create single layered prints meaning that I can keep and reuse the lino block to create as many prints as I like. Alongside this method I also create multi-block lino's where I have 2 colours built up through different layers and screen-printed elements.
